TDECU: DIGITAL BANKING:

Guiding Members into the Digital Future

PROBLEM

TDECU, a rapidly growing credit union in Lake Jackson, Texas, needed to provide its members with mobile access to their banking services for the first time. Without an existing app, they sought a seamless, branded, and fully functional mobile banking experience that could enhance user convenience while maintaining security and reliability. Additionally, as a new and significant client for Kony, this project served as a key opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of the Kony Banking App template as a foundation for scalable digital banking solutions.

goal

To design and develop TDECU’s first mobile banking app, ensuring an intuitive user experience while leveraging the Kony Banking App template. The objective was to create a cohesive, branded experience that aligned with TDECU’s needs, providing essential banking features with a focus on usability, accessibility, and security.

role

As the UI/UX Designer, I worked closely with both the TDECU team and Kony over the course of a year to tailor the Kony Banking App to TDECU’s unique brand and functional requirements. My contributions included refining user flows, optimizing the interface for usability, and ensuring a consistent visual identity that aligned with the credit union’s branding while delivering a seamless digital banking experience.
